Edinburgh retreat

The Destination

Scotland’s capital is an amazing city on top of a hill. From the medieval old town to the more modern Georgian city center and its gorgeous gardens, Edinburgh (pronounce Edinbragh) is the perfect location for a week of adventure. The paved streets, castles, monuments and surrounding hikes are a treasure of photography opportunities.

And that doesn’t even start taking into consideration the out-of-this-world festivals, the amazing food, the rich cultural history, the gin, the beers and a whole series of hidden gems that will make your senses delight. No wonder Edinburgh has been voted the favorite UK City 11 years in a row!

Who is that trip for

Anyone who wants to settle somewhere for a week and enjoy what the area has to offer. Whether you are on vacation or working remotely, there will be some for everyone on this trip. We will co-create the trip with you and most activities will be attendee-led. Trip dates are still to be determined according to the request of the participants.

Rooms are shared, unless otherwise requested (and with supplement). We will make sure to provide a place with good internet connection. There will always be options to cook our own meals and we appreciate, and encourage, collaborative cooking sessions!

Everything is possible, nothing is mandatory.

All levels of photography, videography and storytelling are welcome.

Detailed itinerary

The dates for this trip are still to be decided. Be sure to tell us what works best for you and we’ll make sure to adapt our planning according to yours.

We’re working on a first come, first served basis so, if you’re interested in the trip, let us know as soon as possible. We’ll update this page as more people are confirming their participation and our itinerary becomes more defined.

This trip is accessible to all, beginners to confirmed photographers. We will have 3 guided photographic excursions with thought to time of day and season. John will always be on-hand to talk photography/videography throughout the trip, from a chance encounter on the road to sharing a pint in the evening.
